Vienna Takes a Stand – Not an Inch to the Neo-Fascist “Identitarians”!
On the 25th of July 2026, the neo-fascist “Identitarians” plan to march through Vienna once again.
For years, Vienna has regularly served as the venue for the summer demonstrations of the neo-fascist “Identitarians,” who promote a racist and ethno-nationalist worldview according to which global society should be organized.
Whether under the banner of “remigration” or the narrative of the “Great Replacement”—the goal remains the demand for a shift to the right in society, as well as the exclusion and deportation of all those who do not fit into their narrow-minded worldview of people wearing dirndls and lederhosen.
Neofascists are intent on spreading propaganda for their inhumane ideas and taking over the streets. They are actively supported in this by far-right and neo-Nazi groups from neighboring Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and other countries. These groups are by no means an isolated phenomenon, but rather act as the activist arm of a broader authoritarian movement within society that enjoys massive support from far-right parties such as the FPÖ. Their goal is not merely to achieve parliamentary success, but to bring about a profound shift to the right in all areas of society.The far right benefits from an authoritarian system that responds to the crises of capitalism with exclusion and repression. From the tightening of asylum laws to anti-feminism: its misanthropic ideologies have their roots in the current power structures.
This situation is not without alternatives. This society is made by people and can therefore be changed by them. A good life for all has long been possible. After all, there is enough for everyone. While the far right aims to cement the conditions of domination and exploitation, we strive for nothing less than a form of society in which the happiness of the individual is the necessary condition for the happiness of all.
Neofascists want to march through Vienna. We’re standing up to them! We’re calling for mass blockades: Let’s turn the neofascists’ march into a disaster. Wien nimmt Platz! Vienna, take a stand!
